In Dedication and Tribute

The Rhode Island Minority Police Association is a non-profit organization which supports the men and women of color employed in various positions throughout the Rhode Island Law Enforcement Community, and service to the minority communities of the state.

Our website is dedicated to those Elders: Alfred A. Lima, Sr., Horace Craig, Manuel Roderiques, Vernon Dunlap, Henry Monice, and others - who made the sacrifices of being the firsts in their field; those who have paved the way to provide the current generation of African American, Hispanic, Asian and Native American Law Enforcement Officers with the opportunity to succeed, excel and provide peace of mind to the minority community in the knowledge that there are those among them who will be both the conscience and guardians of the Justice System on their behalf.

It is especially dedicated to our lost Brother, Sgt. Cornel "Jai" Young, Jr., who in his passing has brought about some of the most dynamic changes in the course of law enforcement services and community relations ever before seen in the State of Rhode Island.

And it is equally dedicated to those in our communities who have placed your Faith and Trust in us. May we never betray that responsibility.
